Cherry Hamilton will be speaking on “Homophobic, money-grabbing hypocrites” at #Digimanc: changing the way the world views the church/Christians. Here’s her bio:

Cherry Hamilton

Cherry Hamilton is a writer, assimilating the fields of psychology, theology and communications.  As a practising Christian, she writes for a predominantly Christian readership, but tailors her work to be accessible to a wider audience.

Cherry has had a successful career in communications, which included running her own busy PR consultancy, Arctic Fox PR Ltd, and heading up communications for the Lancashire Criminal Justice Board, the Learning and Skills Council, the Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers and the MP for Stockport.

Although holding a strong interest in politics, Cherry is non-partisan.  She has a degree in Computational Linguistics from the University of Manchester and currently studies theology (with a particular interest in apologetics) and psychology in her spare time.

Notable achievements include consistent best media coverage accolades and attaining extensive features for campaigns on BBC Breakfast, the Daily Mirror and NW Tonight, amongst others.

Cherry writes a weekly opinion column for Christian news website Christian Today, and also contributes items to a number of other websites.

She is writing a book, which will blend her knowledge of apologetics and the psychology of communication.

In her spare time, Cherry enjoys photography (see www.jauntygooseimages.com).  She relaxes by walking, dancing, singing, laughing with friends and solving cryptic crosswords.

You can connect with Cherry via her blog, and she’s a newbie on Twitter @cherryhamilton.
